East African Petroleum Conference and Exhibition (EAPCE), the largest platform for oil and gas sector in the region of East Africa, is a biennial event held on a rotational basis within the seven (7) Partner States of the East African Community comprising Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Congo, Tanzania and Uganda.
First held in 2003, the auspicious event is convened and authorized by East Africa Community Secretariat. The republic of Rwanda hosted the event in 2015 where thousands of delegated across the world come to interact with top governmental official, policy makers and other decision makers in energy sector.
This year, the 10th edition of the conference (EAPCE’23) is being organized by all members of East Africa partner states and will take place on 9th-11th May 2023 Kampala, Uganda under the theme” East Africa as a hub for Investment in Exploration and Exploitation of Petroleum Resources for Sustainable Energy and Socioeconomic Development”
As said by Hon. (Dr.) Peter Mathuki, Secretary General EAC, EAPCE’23 will therefore provide a unique forum for dialogue for all players in the oil and gas industry at both the regional and international levels. Furthermore, E APCE’23 will offer participants an opportunity to promote their products, activities, technological advancements and hold business-to-business meetings as well as sample East African cultural and touristic diversity.
The recent years have seen major projects developments in oil and gas industry in across East Africa. Rwanda with the production and commercialization of methane gas of lake, Uganda projected to start producing first oil in 2025 and other advancements in exploration, fields development and infrastructures in all East Africa; the EAPCE’23 is particularly attractive to investors and will be a tremendous opportunity to showcase Rwanda’s potential in energy sector and promote the beautiful touristic attractions in the country.
